First Trip in 2012

I went to Bangkok few weeks ago with my family and boyfriend. Although I had already visited BKK fourth times, the city still attracted me. We spent only three days but we managed to do many things. We shopped, sight-seeing, had a cruise dinner, and of course ate plenty of Thai food.

I was wearing Pard top, JBrand jeans, Promod sunnies, Janeville bag, and Zara sandals.

I had the best Tom Yum Soup ever! I think this restaurant is famous among International tourists.

We stayed at Baiyoke Sky Hotel (the highest building in Bangkok!). And here was at the observatory point. I was wearing Muaya Clothing cut-out shirt and JBrand jeans.

Last Tuesday, I went to LOVE GARAGE event. This event was held by the-most-talk about company in Indonesian hospitality industry, ISMAYA Group. I came when Flight Facilities was about to hit the stage. Their performance was okay, too bad the crowd seems didn't really enjoy it because they were waiting for Two Door Cinema Club though.

This event was also conjunction with Brightspot Market, The GOODS Cafe and the launch of NYLON and NYLON GUYS Indonesia. Overall, this event was awesome.

I came with my friends.

I just came back from Singapore. Me and my family were spent just 2 days 1 night, a very short overseas trip ever. Well I guess. We also met up with my boyfriend's family and had a short play time in the Universal Studios.

Day 1: Bugis flea market + Universal Studios + Blackmarket concept store + Orchard shopping area.

I was wearing Pard cardigan, STAB top, and Mango pants.

I was wearing STAB top, Promod sunglasses, bag bought in Dubai, and Unbranded shorts.

Day 2: Singapore Art Museum + Mustafa department store + Orchard shopping area.

I was wearing Oneandahalf dress, Topshop bralet, Unbranded tights, necklace bought in Blackmarket store, and Rubi shoes.

At the airport. Ready to fly back home. I was wearing a Danjyo Hiyoji Dress/Shirt.

Me and my family have some plan to go back to Singapore this end January. Can't wait!

But I still had a lot of experiences and met so many couture designers also came to their workshop such as Adesagi, Denny Wirawan, Jeffrey Tan, and many more! And today is my last day of internship after a long tiring day and NIGHT yesterday working on Pemilihan Wajah Femina 2010 (the beauty contest that held annually every year).

I thought this new Nikicio:femme collection is way more mature, isn't? Nikicio using monochromatic tones in greys, blacks, browns, and whites.

Here are my favorite looks from the collection.

All models were wearing DR Martens shoes. There are few types that I felt in love! And the shoes were so perfect to be worn with the Nikicio clothes. It looks so lovely!

I came to this jazzy event with my brother and met few friends there. I was so in LOVE with Barry Likumahuwa and friends' performance! Totally made my night! I also watched RAN, Sandhy Sondoro, Matt Bianco, and many other DJs and small-bands performances. Too bad, almost all performances delayed due some technical problems, DOH!

Film Festival: iNAFFF 2010

Let say, I love watching a good quality movie. So film festival is one of my most anticipated event after fashion related events, of course. Indonesia International Fantastic Film Festival (iNAFFF) is one of the film festival that I've always waiting for. This year, I watched four movies: Time Traveller, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, Monsters, and Surprise Movie. FYI, the surprise movie is, so far, never failed to impress me. And I could say that this year iNAFFF's surprise movie a.k.a "Dream Home" is the goriest movie ever!!! BLOODY GREAT!

After iNAFFF, there is JiFFest that bringing a more variation of genres. JiFFest will be held from November 26 until December 5. Me and boyfriend already bought the tickets for: Waiting for 'Superman', Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Space Tourists, Soul Boy, and Together. I really can't wait!

When Barack Obama Make a Visit to Indonesia

This morning, I came to the "soft launching" a.k.a the previewed of @america at Pacific Place. We had live streaming of Obama's speech from University of Indonesia due to his less-than-24hour visit in Jakarta. We also had a teleconference with fellows from University of Hawaii.

@america is a place that filled with high technology and gadget that can be used to learn more about America. This is a project of US State Department and US embassy in Jakarta. You all should visit @america! The place will open for public on December 1st.

I've been following their collections after I saw their "eye-catching" booth on Brightspot Market Christmas Edition back in December 2009. Since that, I declared myself as a fan of Cotton Ink! This brand is growing so fast and become one of Indonesian leading brand! They always put the simplicity touch on their designs, but still look fashionable.

Cotton Ink has just released their newest collection "Casual Cool". You can find V-neck cardis, mini dresses, the xtra long shawls, drawstring skirt and pants, also blouses. All pieces are looking so good! There are three pieces that become my favorite ones in this "Casual Cool" collection.

First, I already ordered this Two Tone blouse. I love it because I was actually looking for two-tone pieces and then I found this blouse! Love at first sight! The color combination is perfect. The good thing is you can wear it for both casual or semi-formal look. Very useful!

I picked Luxe Viscose Twotone Dress on the second place. When I clicked the "alternate view" button on Cotton Ink's webstore, I shout to myself..... "Gosh, that dress is so pretty! Great tailoring and loved the color combination (again)!"

Last but not least is the V-Neck Cardi "members". It looks comfy and also it can be worn in many styles. Simply gorgeous! There are available in dusty berry, dark grey, light khaki, and dark purple (above picture).

I bet you all already heard about this most talked about collaboration. This collaboration between Lanvin and H&M is worth to wait. I wish H&M is here in Indonesia, Jakarta to be exact. But, that's OK since I heard that MAP (yes, the one that bring Zara, Topshop, etc.) will bring H&M in 2011. Let's crossed our fingers!!!

I came to Vampire Weekend concert last Sunday at Bengkel Night Park, Jakarta. Their performance was so great!! Everyone were danced non-stop from the first song, 'till the last encore song!

In love with Baio (the guitarist), he was soooo attractive on stage! Sorry for the blurry photo, like I said, he was so attractive!

Yesterday, I came to Java Soulnation with brother. One reason that dragged me to attend this music festival was the free ticket I got from winning Twitter quiz, lol. I enjoyed Bayu Risa's performance!!! Loved his style too......... He's a new comer in Indonesian music industry under Sinjitos label. Check it!

My Brother got this promotional CD for free while we were watching Drew's performance. The CD contains two of their newest singles, Radio and High. They played medley western and Indonesian songs too, and that was cool!

I found these cute Reebok x Hello Kitty collection! I am not a fan of sneakers, but I really like this collection (I'm a big fan of Hello Kitty when I was a kid, though). This collection is sold exclusively in Japan and there are three different colors: Pink, White, and Black with the red 'Hello Kitty' bow.

This collection is almost filled with black! As you can see on these below pictures, you can find a lot of black lace dresses, long-length to two tone blazers, drape dress, jumpsuit, one shoulder dress, mini dresses, cutout blouse and trousers.

Yesterday, my schedule was pretty packed. Got many things to be done, and thank God my day was running good. On the afternoon, I went to MyOYeah office/store. For the ones who attended Java Rockin'land (read my previous post) might noticed this store which sold a Rp 100k items from a range of local labels. Such as Hunting Fields, PARD, Cool Caps, A.N.D, and many more. Sounds good right? I mean real GOOD!

Anyway, here are what I bought.

Day 3 of Java Rockin'land

I came with boyfriend and met few friends too. I didn't took lots of pictures 'cause I was really enjoy the performances. I saw The Vines, Wolfmother, Mutemath and GRIBS. They all gave their awesome performances!

International Conference

I just got back from 5 days international conference that held by the faculty of economics University of Indonesia. I joined this conference because there is other country that also participate, and of course the theme is about ACFTA (ASEAN China Free Trade Agreement) which I'm very interested.

I met a lot of new people from other universities in Indonesia and Philippines. I learned that there are the same meaning of words between Bahasa and Tagalog (Philippines' language). Like "kanan" (right) means exactly the same in Tagalog.

The whole activity in the conference was good. There are seminars, general lectures, Discussion and other non-academic activities too such as cultural night (showing our traditional costumes), cultural trip and so on. Oh, and we also do some action by giving flyers to the pedestrian and people inside the car that passed by on the Sudirman street. The contain of the flyer is a policy recommendation that we made during the discussion session.

Camille and Katrina from De La Salle University Manila. They were also my room mates.

Student action that I mentioned earlier. Too bad, based on Indonesia's law, foreigners can not do some action or so called demonstration due too security problem. So my fellows from Philippines couldn't join us.

The best moment is the closing ceremony. We had our last dinner, enjoying the traditional dance performances, winner announcement and took lots of pictures! Everybody looks very beautiful and handsome wearing traditional clothes. Me was wearing a modern kebaya.

I was checking out this event. Actually, I'm a bit disappoint with the venue that isn't organized very well. Well I compare it with Brightspot Market though. But still, you can find many good stuff there. The brands or stores that worth to check are Voila/Soled store (they sold the latest collection of Douche, Vahada, Lilou, Ruph, Eclectica by Tara Amelz and many more), Gitchy, Kidnapped Ally (they sold some accessories and clothes), Lilou (womenswear), Rockinc store (they sold super cool shawls, tees and accessories), and Tweinz (handy craft).

As I promised before, I will share what I wore on the first day of Eid ul-Fitr.

I've been always try to pick a bright color and avoid black or any dark colors on the holy day. I don't wanna look like a person who's gonna come to funeral. So I wore this Batik dress which I paired with a silk head-scarf worn as neck accessories, assorted bracelets, a ring and Gitchy platforms.

No, no, I'm not on any sets of movie making or something like that. I'm talking about my family photoshoot tomorrow's morning at the KING studio. The studio was also used by President SBY for his family portraits. We will do ten frames of shoot. And for that, I'm preparing three sets of outfits. Here's the detail. But before that, please pardon my messy face! Ha! No make up and super messy hair.

For the main shoot which is together with the 12 members of family, I will wear this below look.I will wear this Sister Brain top, Fragrance by Kikichan skirt, Charles & Keith heels. Also, I'll wear my Sou Brette necklace and assorted bracelets.

For the second look is for the family shoot. I will wear this KLE dress. But I'm still confuse about what necklace should I wore. So I'll bring my colorful floral necklace and the purple layered necklace. Then, I will let my mom pick the best one.

The last shoot will be my solo portrait. I'll wear this Forever 21 floral tube dress, Promod floral necklace, assorted bracelets and Belle platforms.

Sou Brette is never failed to make me wanna-buy-all-of-their-necklaces. So far, I've got two necklaces from their Runic collection.

I made my top five best looks. Here they are.

1st place: Coco Rocha. She was simply looking gorgeous in that black dress.

2nd place: Audrina Patridge. Loved the dress, the belt and the shoes. Perfectly matched!

3rd place: Florence Welch (Florence + the Machine). I guess, this dress will be more good if made in sleeveless or tube dress. But still loved the nude color!

4th place: Ashley Greene. I simply like that laced bustier.

5th place: Hayley Williams (Paramore Vocalist). I just loved the floral details, just forgot her pose and that weird face!

Rainy Day in Bandung

Today, I spent the whole day in Bandung with boyfriend. We were having a little culinary trip.

First stop, we had brunch at Maxi's in Ciumbuleuit. The place wasn't open yet when we arrived, so I called them then they were kindly open it a bit sooner for us, ha ha.

Secondly, we had lunch at Cabe Rawit in Dipatiukur. (But, sorry we didn't take any photos there). Their specialty are sundanese food. I tried nasi timbel and tasted so-so.

Then, we ended up having an early dinner at Warung Laos in Dago Golf. Such a nice place and a good view as you can see Tangkuban Perahu mountain from the 2nd floor. They are serving good pizzas!

What I wore: Gaudi Jumpsuit, Muaya Clothingline Cardigan, Bershka Shawl, Bag from Debenhams and Linea Wedges.

We actually visiting a few shops and me bought some clothes plus a necklace at Happy-go-Lucky that is on sale till September 19th.

Did you all watching Emmys on yesterday's morning? Well, I didn't. But I will watch E! fashion police that usually aired on Wednesday in Jakarta time.

Before those people in Fashion Police announcing what their best/least looks, I already picked my favorite ones.

On my first place is Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera. I love the structure and the colors of that dress. It was perfectly fits Agron skin toned.

On my second place is Kim Kardashian in Marchesa who looks so clean yet still glamorous in that flowy dress.

Heidi Klum on my third place. She was wearing Marchesa. Little black dress is always good for every glamorous occasions.

The last, but definitely not least is Emily Deschannel who was wearing this lovable Max Azria Atelier purple dress. I simply loved the color!

I spent my Saturday by doing relaxing things... Went to cinema, then break-fasting together with the big family celebrating my auntie's birthday. In the end, me and boyfriend went to the mall for grabbing our Japanese desserts. I'm grateful to have them all, to share a thing called happiness :)

Enough said about this label. The lady behind this label which is my ex boss (yes, I resigned because I wanna be focus writing my thesis), Kleting Titis Wigati is always having brilliant ideas. The design is always good, always makes me wanna buy them all, and the most important is wearable!

The awaited fall winter collection is already up and you can start purchasing them this September at their flagship store.

My favorite piece is definitely the Enrica Top! Oh my, look at that print....... and the color is making it more beautiful. And the highlight of this collection I guess is the Viviana dress. I also like the Catena necklace. I will definitely buy those pieces as soon as they available in store.

Today, I was wearing this outfit for eating out with family.

As I mentioned before, I really like STAB PIPA PIPA collection. And this PIPA PIPA t-shirt is really comfy yet super eye-catching too. I wore it with Zara trousers and Sole Effect Wedges.

And yesterday, I was having a regular dating with my boyfriend and we were seeing this lego exhibition.

That were made by various undergraduate Indonesians architect. The theme is all about building a future housing for our future living in Jakarta that becomes more and more crowded.

Never Understand is Indonesian local label that I found in the August issue of Girlfriend Indonesia. I like the print cropped tee much. I checked their official website and voila.....! The website itself is pretty much good and well designed. I asked for the pricelist and so on, and ended up I decide to order the sea tranquility cropped tee! I love their services because they responds my emails very fast.

Eclectica is launched two separate collection this July. One of it is sold exclusively in Alun-Alun Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. This is another local label/designer that produce a range of uniqueness clothes and accessories with a touch of local fabric (mostly batik). I love how the designer mixed up the colors for every pieces she made.

WOW, Jakarta has another fun yet creative event! I love this Kite Festival! It was very nice came to this event and all kites were awesome!!

Too bad, I came too early. So, many countries and Indonesian's provinces were not ready yet to fly their kites.

Indonesian Fashion & Craft 2010

I went to this event yesterday by my self, but accidentally met my mom and grandmas. This event is starting from July 21st until 25th, which means until this Sunday. There's a lot of good stuffs that I spotted in a few tenants. My favorite is Romantic Cotton (they're also sold in Alun-Alun Grand Indonesia), Julie Rochili Handcrafted, Olin e Workrobe and my grandma's friend tenant which is selling a super unique clothes! I was purchasing a few clothes and necklaces.

I bought this super comfy trousers in Romantic Cotton and also a handmade necklace (as you will see on the fourth photo).

The fabric is super unique! No wonder, the fabric is come from Sappa Island -as the owner mentioned to me- is located near to China and Taiwan. Don't ask me about the price, sigh! But thanks to my grandma who bought me that.

The last, I also bought this Julie Rochilie cute batik detailed necklace with pearls, that's why it costs me quite expensive. The brown one is from Romantic Cotton.

KLÉ was honoured to dress Iwet Ramadhan and Ayu Dewi (Hard Rock FM broadcaster) also 3 stunning ladies Teges P. Soraya, Gwen Winarno and Ochi Singayudha up.

Fashion Rocks is sort of music meets fashion event that will be showing a bunch of local designers and live performances. They will be rocking the stage at the same time and the models will be the broadcaster of Hard Rock FM. Sounds super cool, huh?

My Man Turned 22nd Last Sunday!

We were having some birthday journey. First, I gave some morning surprise to his house and it was totally unexpected since I just came back by midnight from Singapore. He got no clue at all, big success!! Secondly, we went to Galeri Nasional for Biennale Indonesia Art Award 2010. And thirdly, we grabbed some food and movie at Grand Indonesia. Hi. I just got back from my 2nd Summer Holiday to Macau-Singapore.......! I had such a great time! Trying and visiting something new are always making me wanna fly as high as I can! I went there with my big family. We went to Macau first and then straight to Singapore for 2 nights. And, I bought many things that I can't even wait for so long to wear them all.

Good morniiing, Tinkers! I still in the middle of final week. Only two subjects left then I'm officially done with sixth semester. Talking about my side jobs, I'm become a fashion stylist assistant for "3Love Honda" television ad campaign. Actually, this is my very first time dealing with the advertising thingy. It is fun, but you must dealing with the packed schedule and deadlines.

This is what I do. Creating some looks that must be matched with each characters. Looks easy? Not really, because you must done it fast then send it to my boss. After that, she'll check it and ask me to do some revisions on it.

Anyways, I'm also still running as KLE's assistant. This June, KLE will open their first flagship store at Grand Indonesia, east mall level 1. Just wanna share what I wore tonight. Me and boyfriend were having dinner at Waraku, Grand Indonesia. After that, we just walked around and I spotted lots of good stuffs. FYI, all MAP flagship stores, such as Topshop and Dorothy Perkins are giving 20% discount on their new collection during this long weekend!!

The stage decoration was simple, but the lighting effect made them looked more awesome! At the end, there was fireworks that came out in front of the stage

My trip to Bandung was worth it! This is the first and also the last time I attended their concert, thank you Copeland!
